SIEUTRANS "non-stop sailing", open the fourth channel to help resume work and production!

After the outbreak of the epidemic, the traditional air transport channel was blocked. At this time, trucks were traveling back and forth between China and Europe, day and night, transporting supplies. They opened up the "fourth channel" to and from Europe and helped enterprises resume work and production.

At 8:30 last night (March 13), a truck full of goods arrived at the Suzhou Industrial Park, and the banner "Germany-Suzhou Resumption Line" hanging on the front of the truck was very conspicuous. This shipment came from Europe "far away", left from Duisburg, Germany on February 28, passed through Poland, Belarus, Russia, arrived at the Manzhouli border, and rushed to the destination - Eaton Electric (Suzhou) Co., Ltd.

Eaton Electric Co., Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Eaton Group in China, specializing in the production of low-voltage components, with an annual revenue of more than 1 billion yuan.  The raw materials, which took 14 days to arrive, are mainly imported from Germany and Austria and will be assembled at the Suzhou plant.

Zhang Jianfeng, director of operations of the circuit protection and control division of Eaton Electric Co., Ltd., said that the company is waiting for this batch of goods, and the arrival of raw materials is very helpful for the resumption of production.

On the same day, in a logistics park in Taicang, workers were packing goods in a hurry. The shipment, which is an auto parts produced by a local German-funded company, was loaded and immediately dispatched for Europe, where it is expected to arrive within half a month. More than half of the company's products are supplied to German customers every year, and after the resumption of work and production in recent days, the company hopes to be able to ship the products that have been made in the first time.

Zhu Yan, general manager of Habe Machinery Parts (Taicang) Co., Ltd., said that due to the impact of the epidemic, many of the original delivery plans have been delayed, so once production resumes, we will do our best to meet the needs of important overseas customers. At present, the recovery of maritime transport is relatively late, there are many uncertainties in booking, and road transport is relatively faster.

These trucks entering and leaving the various borders came from a private enterprise in the Suzhou Industrial Park---Sieutrans. In recent years, with the increase of overseas orders, the demand for international freight has been increasing, and the current freight modes between China and Europe and countries and regions along the "Belt and Road" are still mainly air, sea and rail transport. In 2018, the first "Suxin" arrived in suzhou, becoming the first Sino-Europe truck flight in the country, filling the gap in road transport between China and Europe, known as the fourth channel.

After the outbreak of the epidemic, SIEUTRANS actively organized vehicle and driver to provide land transport services for customers between China and Europe. Since February, SIEUTRANS in South China, East China, North China and Southwest China have also opened a special line to resume work, as far as possible to meet the customers needs in China and Europe to resume work and production, the current monthly arrangement of more than 100 two-way trucks, compared with the same period last year, the number of customers increased by about 10 times.

Yao Huafeng, director of the Trade Promotion Division of the Suzhou Free Trade Area Comprehensive Coordination Bureau, said that it will continue to increase the tracking service of Sieutrans, hoping that Sieutrans can continue to grow in the course of development, encouraging Sieutrans continue to "go out" and providing reliable logistics guarantees for enterprises across the country to resume work and production.

Tang Hu, deputy general manager of Sino-Europe Trucking (Jiangsu) Logistics Service Co., Ltd., said that to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of the "fourth channel" between China and Europe, which is related to the normal resumption of work and production of many enterprises. In this process, I also deeply felt the trust and support of countries along the "Belt and Road" for China's victory over the epidemic.
